4/11/22 - 8:13pm Sunnyside’s own A+Styles is our Crowded Streaming Artist Of The Month for April 2022. A+ was raised on the Northside and Southside of Houston and has experiences in the trenches of the culture and at the highest heights of academia. If thoughtful lyrics, banging beats and addictive melodies sound good to you then look no further than Kickz and Flowz (2022)-a project A+ dropped in February that has some very unique characteristics. Kickz and Flowz is the first music project, that I know of, that mixed the shoe culture with hip-hop. Kickz and Flowz is also the first album with songs named after shoes.
Each song gives a glimpse into how A+ views each shoe and the circumstances surrounding his life when each shoe was released. A+styles is an artist of many “styles” as the name implies. You might hear a song from him dedicated to Houston, a song dedicated to his role as a father or a song dedicated to the fly kicks he is always wearing. A+ is a true artist and has been putting in a lot of work over the years. A+ has an eventful 2022 planned with future iterations of Kickz and Flowz and a counterpart album to "Still Can: Red"-an album arranged as a political campaign for his presidency of HipHop (I told you he had a lot of styles). His partnership with RIAA Platinum Producer Bigg Cuz Beats has catapulted A+Styles' approach final product to a world class level.
