🎤 SILKY REDD
"The King of Feel Good Music"

Bio
Silky Redd is a genre-blending artist from Beaumont, Texas whose sound is deeply rooted in the culture of the South. Influenced early on by the soulful sounds of Motown, he eventually carved out a distinct style inspired by the legacy of DJ Screw and the Screwed Up Click. His debut album, South Is On The Rise, made history by becoming one of the first independently released Beaumont records to be distributed in major retail stores like Best Buy, Sam Goody, and Target — selling over 15,000 units.
Since then, Silky Redd has amassed over 34 million digital streams and views, proving his staying power in today’s fast-moving music landscape. He's collaborated with Houston icons like Ronnie Spencer and Cupid (Turn The Party Out) as well as Ronetta Spencer (Get Down Tonight), with production by the legendary Sean “Solo” Jemison.
Silky's music embodies a blend of Southern Soul, Zydeco, Swing Out, and classic Houston Hip Hop, earning him the title "The King of Feel Good Music." He continues to push boundaries with his latest project Life of Dance — a celebration of rhythm, culture, and Southern vibes.
Outside of music, Silky Redd has made his mark in radio as a co-host alongside Jazzy Redd on Magic 102.5 FM and currently hosts "After Dark" weekly on KBIZ The Biz Radio Houston. A true entertainer, DJ, and cultural ambassador, Silky Redd is currently signed to Parliment Records (Los Angeles) and serves as a Brand Ambassador for Crowded Music, a Houston-based streaming platform.
